I have been meaning to start writing *blogging for you internet nerds* again, but somehow I can't seem to get motivated. I used to love it, write blogs everyday sometimes back in the days of MySpace. But somewhere between MySpace and baby #3 I became self conscious of my writing. I began to feel with so many much more interesting/tear jerking stories out there, why would anyone want to read about me? I thought if it wasn't funny, I probably shouldn't bother. I have been none to tell a joke or two, but this became too much pressure and I just stopped writing stuff down entirely. I remember thinking that I didn't need to write this stuff down, I would always remember how old Oscar was when he said his first word, what day Lilah took her first step. Yeah, turns out as your heart grows to accommodate more kids, it apparently has to use resources that were designated for other vital functions. Namely your memory. And possibly sanity, I will have to advise later after further research. So I figure now is as good a time as any to start journaling the important events and maybe even more important, the lil day to day anecdotes that make parenting worth it. Who knows, maybe some day my great grandkids will read these blogs and laugh and laugh at how archaic we were, our cars still touched the ground!! If nothing else I get brownie points with my mama who has been asking me to jot down the hi jinks of my lil turkeys for, at this point, years. Hey mom, can I trade in brownie points for Rice Krispy treat points?
